  • Pastor Rose Brower-Young  District Superintendent

    Rose graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Canadian Nazarene College in 1990. She also attended the University of Manitoba, studying English and religion. She's completed a professional Masters in Christian leadership.  Rose married Kelly Brower in 1988. Their first ministry assignment was in Olds AB. It was during this time God gave Kelly the vision for Kidztown, an outreach ministry to community children and their families.  After leaving Olds, they were welcomed on staff at Medicine Hat Glenview Nazarene church to work alongside Rev. John Moore and Rev. Jason Horne.  The Browers moved to Calgary where they began to minister with the people of Hope Community Church.


    They stepped out in faith to go full-time with Kidztown in May 2004 when Kelly suddenly passed away August 3, 2004 from a heart attack. He was only 36 years old. Kelly & Rose had 2 children, Rae-Lee and Brock. It was a few years later that their family grew by one when Rose married Brad Young on November 22, 2008. Rose also worked at the District Office with Rose Graham for 1½ years, a job which she says all pastors should do for a while.  In December 2010 she pastored at Calgary East Church of the Nazarene. In 2018 Rose was elected as CWD Superintendent. Rose has held positions on the District’s Board of Ministry, District Advisory Board, District SDMI Board, District NMI Board, District Assembly Finance Committee, and the Camp Harmattan Board. She was also on the CNC Board of Governors when they merged with CBC to become what is presently Ambrose University. 

  • Rose Graham  Director of Operations

    Rose Graham's duties include financial management, bookkeeping, local church administrative and financial support and office management.  Her previous experience includes ministering as Church secretary at Calgary First Church of the Nazarene and Drumheller Church of the Nazarene.  She is author of the book The Church Administrative Assistant's Handbook (Beacon Hill Press).  

    She has enjoyed serving on the board of directors for Siloam Mission, Airdrie Church of the Nazarene and Lakeshore Camp.  Rose enjoys growing 77 varieties of fruits and berries in her yard and making memories in Disneyland.

  • Cathie Epp    Administrative Assistant

    Cathie has worked for the District Office since the summer of 2020.  She is the administrative support to the District Superintendent and District Administrator. She has worked as the Office Manager at the Cranbrook Alliance Church and most recently held the Administrative Assistant position at the Calgary First Church of the Nazarene. She serves on her local church board at the Drumheller Church of the Nazarene.


    Cathie and her husband, Jeff live on a farm near Hussar, AB. Between them they have 6 children: Shaina, Leah, Erin, David, Wendell and Paul. With having adult children comes the special blessing of 4 and counting grandchildren, Noah, Walker, David and Kai. Cathie loves sewing, motorcycling, and spending time with the family.

  • Tammy Herbert   Digital Marketing & Event Planning        

    Tammy started working with the District in February 2024.  She works with the district office and churches to keep up communication on social media, through newsletters, and on the website.  Tammy's other responsibilities include planning events like the district assembly and Soul Care.  She is also an ordained elder in the district, serving as NDI President, supplying preaching and retreat speaker. 

    Tammy and her husband, David, who is also an ordained elder (retired), live on a farm near Edberg, AB.  They have two young adult children and are learning how to live in an empty nest.  Tammy loves walks with her doodles, Lilac and Liza, a cup of coffee and a good book on the porch, and always looks forward to anytime one of her favourite sports teams is playing (Go Chiefs!) .
